Re: noob question

Excellent plan. Much like our own progress but improved upon with the addition of actual training at the start.

PS: The most important skill for long term success as a cruiser with a small...

Re: noob question

The other questions have been addressed quite thoroughly so I won't bother adding anything.

I will say that, as a military retiree, you should have more than enough money to sustain the cruising...

Re: High anxiety-passage v. Coastal

 Can't think of anything to add. As much as we have enjoyed harbor hopping from one spectacular, indescribably beautiful, anchorage to the next, we find ourselves wanting to head out to sea...

Re: My 128th good film - and the future of sailing journalism

Agree. In some ways this is a good thing but for those who are trying to make buck (or a pound) through photography, writing or producing videos it is unfortunate. We were all used to paying for a...

Re: My 128th good film - and the future of sailing journalism

Blogging, can be a viable career but I think the sailing/cruising niche is just too narrow for any but the most dedicated and talented writers to make a living at writing for this audience alone.

Re: If I were young......

True dat. They all want to be ready to sail around the world though, just in case; much to the benefit of used boat buyers.
