what i've learned since then is to send back the Nautic Pro chip and buy the Navionics chip for the south florida , carribean and all of south america, for about $185. lot of charts for the money ....

the sparks bothered me the first time i connected my 800 watt inverter even thou the inverter was 'off'. i think its the capacitors that are loading up and then it doesn't draw any more amps...

rode island soda clean is located in Newport, RI and will travel. they use something different to clean the bottom paint right off without having to sand the bottom to get the paint to stick.
