My stepdad had the same question. He emailed blue seas and their suggestion was to put a switch on the ground side of the acr. Without a ground the acr will not latch.

I have a st1000 on my 28 foot boat. My disp is around 6300#'s. it works fine. I think one of the main determining factors would be how much force can act on your tiller. On my old Catalina 27 before...

I did the whole works on a Catalina 30 mk2 this summer. It was a tortuous job. Try and get as many diagrams as possible and when putting in the new cable and chain make sure the cables are crossed...

Since January 125 liters. Lots of motoring lots of sailing and a fair bit for heat too. All my trips to the gulf islands this year saw lots of motoring. The sailing across the straits was great tho
