Re: .25 gal/hr. Really???

I'll ditto Sals statement the 4-5hp outboards might get you into the range of .25 gallon per hour... my 3.5 hp outboard in flat water would run wide open about 45 minutes on 1 liter (size of the tank...

Re: Smartphone wind speed

The Beaufort Scale is free... simple to use, and probably WAY more accurate than the microphone wind speed indicator on your smartphone. Spend $0.99 that towards Navionics for your smartphone.

Re: Which Site Are You Most Likely to Use To Sell Your Boat

Re: Unstep Mast

I think that is the 3rd or 4th time I've run across that document from Selden. It's a really comprehensive guide to all types of masts, and rigging, and I find myself reading and re-reading sections...

Re: sliding helm seat?

I love how you think.. Seat on a traveler! Now if you get REAL creative, you can put a curved track in, and slide up onto the rail and forward too!

Re: Man rescued trying to cross the Atlantic in a dinghy

The story implies he'd have been OK if he just had that lifejacket.
Besides we ALL know he should have used a laser.

Many people have upgraded their sliding goose to a fixed goose, but...

Re: land locked
