Re: PSC 34 compression post

I too had some water seepage. Turns out the mast was filling up with rain water. We drilled a couple of small weep holes in the base and the problem was solved. Before, when the water would rise up...

Re: Dodger

The last pic on this page shows mine on my 37 footer. The grab rails make for a pretty awesome spot to loop my life line, as you can see in the photo. This dodger was made by PSC at their factory....

Re: Water damage to cabin sole

I had, what sounds like, a very similar leak. It turned out to be water filling up the inside of the mast (from trickling in from halyard lines) and then overflowing through the eye where the wiring...

Re: PSC 37 How many have done away with staysail?

Very interesting thought about the furled sail making it easier for the 150 to come around... Please let us know if it works! Does the extra sail area of a stay sail help your speed in lighter...

Re: PSC 37 How many have done away with staysail?

I just never bothered installing my forestay because of where I sail. I tack a lot so it just seems like one more thing to get in the way of the genoa, which by the way is a 150. If I had it to do...

Re: Short, tame video on 37

I'm not really sure. This boat was one caught up in the re-purchase of the company by Steve Brodie. Steve pointed out the rail to me when I saw her for the first time, but it didn't occur to me to...

Re: Short, tame video on 37

Another calming video with "The Decemberists" from The Tar River...on the way out to the real stuff. Saturday saw gusts over 25 in the main sound. Unfortunately my GoPro ran out of juice on this...

Re: One Year Report

Thanks. Yeah, I draw 5'10" and usually just round that out to 6'. Guess I'm kind of limited in the cruising around The Bahamas dang it.

Looking forward to seeing pics/video!

Re: alternative to PSC 37 dressing seat

Funny you should ask about this. I just got through talking about having mine re-done in order to accomodate a plank that would cover it over. That extra square foot or so will undoubtedly allow much...

Thanks for the awesome pic! I'm very happy for the PSC gang. I the boat turns out as well as pictured.

One attribute that attracted me to my 37 footer was how the rudder was hung behind the keel,...

Thanks. Yes, it was one of the best weekends ever. Never really saw anyone else out, but a lot of sailors are still reeling from Hurricane Irene. I even came upon a couple of logs floating. Spotted a...

The steadiness is directly attributable to the 37's stability!

Short, tame video on 37

I somehow clipped the bottom part of my video, but if you're bored and want to see how flat The Tar River and parts of The Pamlico Sound are, even in 15-20 knots, here it is (please pardon the...
