I recall a 37 Apache I saw in WI that had glass decks with wood-like appearance molded into the glass. I don't know about the core material.

If oil entered a cylinder(s) (which I doubt) it may have been forced up past the piston rings as the oil sump filled. Possibly water entered a cylinder through the exhaust. Which I also doubt. Water...

I've seen colored dacron sewn on the sail and screen printed images.
The numbers on my mains'l was screen printed.
