I solved the problem of wife being shy to steer the Bermuda 40, by supporting her decision to buy a Merit 25 for Estuary racing. She's a bit shy of traffic, and has not figured out the tiller totally...

Some of the Ocean racing division do well offshore, but the central bay is its own little world of strong afternoon winds across the tides.

ray marine vs furuno

I have the Raymarine RL74RC, had the RL72RC on earlier boat. This unit is easy to use, gives reliable operation on my Bermuda 40 and works with the CMAP chart cartridges.

Only downside I See...
