I'm in southern Illinois- you can buy grain ETOH here ( SIU ( Go Salukis)has a great recipe for wapatule- oops, that's from another day and time). Would lacquer thinner work...

The blisters are really small and spread over large areas of the bottom, so I think it would be impractical to treat them each individually( I could do it, but it probably would take a year...)....

Good Results here. Never a problem, and it works great. I too have it mounted on the underside.
