Try swimming against some of North Fl's magnitude 1 springs. Flow out these caves feel like fire hoses hitting you. Though these springs are around 70 F year round one can work up a lot expended heat...

You are correct about "different cruising grounds" as the Chesapeake can be interesting with rather deep draft vessels.

I've been informed that most Ocean 45's in this area are shoal draft ( 5 1/2...

How many where made with a shoal draft keel? Seeing a Beneteu in my favorite Gunkhole off the Chesapeake with a possible 7 foot + draft is pushing it a bit in where I was as I draw 5 foot...

Saw a fairly new Oceans 45 in my 'undisclosed gunk hole' on the Chesapeake Bay the other day.. After looking up its depth specs :eek: do they come in a shoal draft version as well?

Having previously owned an Allmand 31 I recall putting (2)Groups of Group 27's ...two each for a total (4) batteries under that rear quarter berth. A tight squeeze but they all fitted.

Marinas with slip price reduction...?

Just received in the mail from a( local)Eastern Shore marina an ad to which they are reducing their 2015 slip rates to attract new customers..

Any other marinas around the Bay doing the same...

Spending some time on Jeykll by cruising the multitude of bicycle trails scattered on the island and enjoying the fresh caught shrimp. Two marinas here do offer some nice amenities to cruisers...

That will depend on your hull coring. Some cored hulls are not recommended for 'shoot thru' types..

Replace the T handle in the Racor filter,if you have a Racor, with a vacuum gauge and observe readings. Check lift pump diaphram for leaks. Fuel clean and algae free?
