Re: Windward Performance

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions. I will try all and see what I can come up with. The helm feels ok...although I have to admit that I let the ST1000 handle the steering 95% of the time. ...

Double VS. Split Backstay

I need to replace the split backstay on my Catalina 22. I'm not planning to adjust tension regularly so I was considering two options:

Re: Charging: Gel vs AGM

None of the Guest marine chargers have a switch and they're advertised as general purpose chargers for flooded, gel, and AGM type batteries. The Guest technical support folks are also telling me...

Re: Beef Up Battery Plate

I was going to make a frame out of 1" x 1" (like picture frame) and glass it in place. I'd mount straps there to keep it from shifting. It's a sealed, non-spillable AGM so I shouldn't have to worry...

Bummer... I have been using it to bed all of my deck hardware. I liked the idea that it would flex with the part rather than adhere so strongly that it might stress the fiberglass beneath.

What...

3m 101?

I just looked online for 3m 101 at both West Marine and Jamestown Distributors. I can't find it on either website. Has this stuff been discontinued or did I do a poor job looking for it?

C22 Rigging
