Re: Ah!quick help. Extender plate under furler?

Re: How do I handle insurance claims?

I'll write one more response now and then sit and listen for a while. Lest I overwhelm my own post with responses.

How does this option work. Where I get a totaled check and just move on. I...

Re: How do I handle insurance claims?

Ah! You guys are too good!:). I'm trying to respond to all the awesome advice.

I'm paranoid. I've got backups. Good tip.

As to the marina. It's not my marina, it's not like I had a...

Re: laptop choice

Depending on your needs, a MacBook Pro is a lot more powerful than an air and these days it's barely bigger or heavier. Barely uses any power. Charges at 60w for two hours and lasts for 9-11 hours. ...

Re: How do I handle insurance claims?

Oh yeah, can it take them to small claims court for reimbursement for the money I paid for new standing rigging? I'm not a greedy person, but I don't see why they haven't just handed my money back...

Re: Ah!quick help. Extender plate under furler?

After only a cursory look, we basically just quickly had the insurance guy come out and bundled the mast and took it away, the only crack we saw was at the base. The rigger, Ian, is going to look at...

Re: Ah!quick help. Extender plate under furler?

Yeah, that was really nice of med to come down. We'll get this all sorted out but man! It was like a cartoon on the dock yesterday. They tied a bad knot for a temporary forestry and it slipped. ...

Do I get back somehow the money I paid the rigger? It's...

Re: Moorings Put Where There Weren't Moorings

Yep. This is what anchors are for. Last summer in BC I thought it was a safety issue in some of the anchorages. Some of them where you may need to hide out a blow, but they are often just covered in...

Re: How do I handle insurance claims?

Do I need to file a police report? Boat US says to file a police report if there are any property damages or injury.

I'm now understanding that an adjuster will come out and estimate the...

Re: How do I handle insurance claims?

I don't think it looks like the mast was a total loss. Everything will have to be looked at and it's all still a mess. It broke and fell at the deck step. Ripped the boomvang out. Bent my pushpit a...

Re: Hunter loses rudder

Funny! They pulled into the slip next to me in anacortes. I talked to him for awhile.

It was a 2002 32' hunter. He said there were three 32's made. Said the rudder post was fiberglass and 25...

Re: Ah!quick help. Extender plate under furler?

Yeah. I was a bit too trusting. I know. Believe me. I know how stupid I was. I am seriously kicking myself. I appreciate noone has told me I'm stupid and naive because I already am aware.

Re: Ah!quick help. Extender plate under furler?

" I just got some rigging done and it's not very good, can you take a look at it?"

I can do that. I did stupidly already pay. Heck I...
