Oh don't get me wrong Block should be visited. We have done similar there. Dinghy to to beach and hang out. Yes Aldo is unique and you can get $ 3 doughnuts or croissants delivered to your boat....

Montauk will have transport and probably best timed with your trip. Cutty actually has a small market within walking distance of the dinghy dock, but its opened odd hrs and doesn't look well timed...

When you say anchorage, are you being literal? No moorings? That would not be terribly limiting, but maybe a little.

Newport is probably a must. It can get busy, but its all about boating, so...

Fast and Fancy and you need to stop in Newport.

Block is great idea. Be sure to go into New Harbor. June won't be crazy busy yet, but look into the Block...
