I have to agree with mgmhead, be careful what gods you are trying to appease. My boat is named Lord Willing. So was the last boat. I know the God who takes care of me.

Ha, you might replace the "old" Suzuki. I just bought a 1952 Sea King for a kicker on my 1974 South Coast 22. We appear to look at things differently. Congratulations on your new boat.

Does the oil filter housing look at all distorted or swollen?
I am not familiar with Yanmar, but almost all engines have an oil pressure relief valve that is supposed to open & send extra oil back...
