I think hard dinks are the way to go if you have to kedge off a sand bank you need to row an anchor and chain out in a hurry.Unfortinately no room for one on my boat,so stuck with a puff up.

I would think it would scratch off on the casing,powder coating doesnt take knocks or scratching well,maybe a hard 2 pot epoxy paint it would be a lot cheaper and you could do it yourself.
