Smile Phang Nga Bay in SW season - Clockwise or counterclockwise?

I apologize if this seems a naive question but I've not consulted many charts (they are very expensive for this region) and am developing a float plan for a voyage out of Phuket next month. I've got more places to visit than I have time in the 9 days we will tour the area, and wonder if you would recommend clockwise (essentially hugging the coast) or counterclockwise (crossing directly across the bay - passing south of Phi Phi islands. We are chartering a 38 ft cat with Sunsail for our first time to Thailand (our 3rd bareboat vacation). Thanks in advance.
