New to Me Tanzer 22

Hi Guy's n Gal's I am new to this forum, since I got rid of all my sailing stuff, and became a motorcyclist for a year. I traded my Goldwing for a Tanzer 22, and I am going to get it ready for the water as soon as I can. So I will be looking for T22 advice, such as redoing the swing keel cable, and what kind of ice box is that in there? Any way I will be lurking around again. Thanks for being there!
Sam

Do 2 things:

1) go to groups.yahoo.com and search for. The tanzer 22 newsgroup. EVERY question you have about the boat is answered there. It is the ONLY place on web with the most comprehensive info on the boat. I used to own a T22.

2) join the tanzer22 class association.

Tanzer class association and tanzerboatparts are good sites. Sorry I can't post links yet...

As for your question about the ice box, I'm sure you know by now since the OP was from 2010, it is pretty worthless. Front load ice boxes are inherently bad since you lose your cold air whenever you open it. We just use the box for dry storage and stick a cooler under the cockpit. Works well and is easy to transport for overnights, etc. I plan to rip out the existing ice box and put in a shelving unit to increase storage.
