Anyone have any idea on installing a swim platform on the T34

We are looking at a T34C for our live aboard boat. We are planning on doing the Caribbean retirement thing in 2 years.

We do have a nice 80 lbs Golden who just loves water. My worry is when retrieving the pup. Plus we would enjoy the platform at anchor.

Any thoughts on how we could do this, if possible..

With such a high counter and smallish transom this looks like a difficult project.. Are you expecting the dog will be able to climb out and on board from swimming?

We have friends who cruise with dogs and no open transom, they use a two piece folding pet ladder.. it's quite bulky to store, though.

As an aside.. have you investigated the ramifications of cruising in the Caribbean with it's many customs/checkins and their rules regarding pets?

I think from the swim platform I can get the dog back onto the boat. I was looking at lifts for a while.

I am not aware of the Rules & Regs for pets , but will check into it.

We have not yet bought our T34C but I do like the design of the T34.
