Davit install on Tartan 37

Anyone installed a dingy davit in their Tartan 37, I have purchased one from Garhauer. I'm hoping to install it soon and looking for any tips.

I installed the Forspar davits on mine last year. They are pretty good for the money, I paid $699 for the pair. The lifting tackle on them is Harken but the sheaves at the end of the davit needs to be larger because of chaffing. I met the Forspar people at the Annapolis boat show and they sent me four larger versions at no charge. Sailing around the bay, I'm glad I have them.
I had a local metal worker (welder) make me up some stainless steel straps that goes from the top of the stern rail to the coaming behind the helmsman seat. This strap transfers the weight of the davits to the coaming so you don't pull too hard on the sternrail.

Good way to reinforce the stern rail is to have stays from the top stern rail to the toe rail. I put some on when I got a set of Ocean Marine Davits. Lifeline material, a small turnbuckle , a shackle on the toe rail and a take apart rail slide on the rail. Stopped all the flexing.
