Access to Keel bolts
I just bought a 78' Tartan 30 and the keel bolts need to be tightened. Some of them look like easy access, but a couple seem that they will be problematic. Particularly the one under the floor/liner between the large access plate and the aft part of the engine. I see no way to get to it. There also looks like there might be one forward of the mast step.
Has anyone accessed these bolts before and if so, how did you do it? Must I cut a hole in the floor/liner? Is there a tool that will reach in there and still allow me to provide sufficient torque?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
i would check with a survoyer to be sure that you do need to tighten those bolts.
its possibly the seal connection between the stub keel and the cast keel that needs attention
