Keep Your Heads Down - Irene's A "B" Word

Best wishes for safety to all of our Northeast brothers and sisters. I hope Irene busts a gut and somehow drifts further East, but if not, know that we're in Florida hoping for the best for you guys. Batten down the hatches, leave if they tell you to leave, and above all else, it's person before property. We'll have you in our prayers, especially along the Jersey coast and anywhere in her path.

Good luck guys. We are in kauai and have been in maui till today.. Some of our dockmates wayched our boat and the lines. It appears we have dodged a bullet on the Chesapeake.

Since we usually would be traveling to the LI Sound and Newport on vacation this week I guess we feel somewhat lucky we revisit hawaii on our every five years on our anniversity of being married on Maui.

Our prayers go out for the friends we have made on our travels north and the friends I have made in NW and the LI Sound here on sailnet.

God bless and stay safe and may all the gods protect your homes, loved ones and sailboats.

Dave

Thanks Dave, Happy Anniversary!
I can't check the boat yet, but we still have power at the house. Other than a visit from the neighbor's shed, there's no news to speak of.
