Casco Bay to Penobscot Bay Maine

I am leaving Casco Bay on August 1st and plan to make a direct run to Penobscot Bay. I will have 5 days total, and the goal is to anchor each night.

I will need to get fuel, food, and water along the way, but from the guide books that is not an issue.

Can I get some recommendations of the less common anchorages in this area and must see things?

Thanks!

Seal Bay on Vinalhaven was one of our fav less common anchorages on our cruise last June. Beautiful and secluded. Only one other boat there with us that arrived late at night. Mid summer is likely to be a bit more popular.

Not location specific, but pick three potential anchorages along the route when you start each day. That way you can choose as you get near the end of the day. And anchor enough before sunset that you can move if necessary. Good luck, enjoy the trip.
