Compression Post

I have a 1978 27 Watkins that is new to me. We are slowly getting her up to safe sailing condition. One thing that needs major attention is the compression post.

After years of someone using the head as a shower the bottom of the post has major problems. Shall we say coming apart and sagging. Could someone be kind enough to tell me the length of the compression post so I can replace mine.

Thanks
