Masthead sloop rig, aft cockpit pocket cruiser. Has unusual rectractable bulb keel that allows easy launch/retrieval from a trailer. This boat is equipped with optional wheel steering. This a conservative boat, a little underpowered, with a narrow beam and heavy displacement. Pluses: interior volume and storage is excellent; tracks well to weather; dry cockpit; can launch/recover from custom made trailer. Minuses: lightly rigged; high freeboard = increased windage; can't quite keep up with lighter, more powerful boats.

Overall, this boat can be recommended for weekender sailing. It is comfortable, reasonably transportable, and seaworthy for a pretty modest price. There aren't a lot of these boats around that I can tell--saw one sitting in a boat yard near Marblehead, Ohio. Some were produced with an OMC saildrive engine. They could be bought factory finished or in kit form.
