Having owned a Paceship PY23 for 5 years in the Canadian Gulf Islands, twofoot-itis lead me to this boat. I wanted a performance boat, sporty in appearance but not lacking in comfortable cruising amenities. With 5'7" headroom, a short person may stand up easily but those taller, not. Interior is a "transformer" lay-out, with every convenience a dual use item. Doors turn into counter space, chart table folds to a double dining table, the companionway stair becomes a seat at the table and a sliding section pulls out to make the V-berth a true queen size bed! There are two very large quarter berths also, with a storage area under the center cockpit between these berths.
The Yanmar YSM-8, 7HP diesel is under the V-berth, unusual location but it makes motoring quiet if one is in the cockpit. Noisey in the cabin, though!
The boat is very well constructed, heavy, 3900 lb, seems extremely stiff and has hardware of excellent quality throughout.
Sailing the 25 is not challenging, all lines lead aft (standard) and with furling headsail (150%) and a tillerhelm, the chores are easy to accomplish. In a stiff wind 15 - 20KT, there is a fair amount of weatherhelm, but tightening the aft-stay adjuster seems to help. I've also resorted to a slight stall of the leading edge of the mainsail.
The boat gets a lot of looks and compliments, that doesn't hurt, either. All in all, I'm very pleased and will probably not suffer another bout of twofoot-itis for about 5 years!
