I have the cat ketch version with a keel that draws 4'6" and use it for coastal ocean cruising and day sailing.

Plusses: The boat is extremely easy to sail with the halyards, sheets and jiffy reefing lines all led into the cockpit. Because there is no jib, it is like sailing (and tacking)a boat with two mainsails - easy to do single handed in almost any weather. The boat tracks very well and moves well on a reach or run. Construction quality is excellent as is the amount of room for a boat its size. Cabin layout is well thought out. The high seat backs make for a comfortable cockpit. The long waterline and high freeboard make it a dry boat in rough seas.

Minuses: Like many sailboats, it does a poor job of backing to starboard. The lazyjacks (which I like overall) require that the boat be headed directly into the wind when raising or lowering the sails which can be a challenge in confined spaces. The boat does not point well and lacks livliness in winds below 10 knots. I miss the sidestays (the boat has unstayed carbon fiber masts) when going forward to use the anchor, though the lack of chainplates reduces the liklihood of deck leaks.

Overall, I am very pleased with the boat.
