Oh you could make it easily to the inner end of the entrance channel but that's about it.

If you want to go all the way into a harbor there are other options. Vineyard Haven harbor outside the seawall. Good except in Nn - NE winds. Or turn left under the bridge into the Lagoon, probably the most protected anchorage on the island. Do note that the bridge has limited opening hours. Last posted schedule:

8:15-8:45 a.m.
10:15-11:00 a.m.
3:15-4:00 p.m.
5:00-5:45 p.m.
7:30-8:00 p.m

Or, you can rent a mooring in Edgartown.
