Re: 2018 Sailing Season on the Chesapeake

The only other solution that I know that is efficient is purchasing a replacement gazebo screen enclosure, which I found years ago at Walmart for $30. It provides you with a complete screen enclosure of your cockpit - NO BUGS at all! I've only used mine a few times, but it worked very, very well, especially in the lower Chesapeake where those nasty black flies will eat big chunks from your legs. Their bite is so nasty it feels like a bee sting. Ouch!

The price of the replacement screen/mosquito netting has increased quite a bit since I purchased mine, though. https://www.amazon.com/Universal-Gaz.../dp/B01M0SJHSL

My boat is always salty - spray does that.

Good luck from an old salt,

Gary
