I bounced a 7' draft sailboat off the bottom in 25' of water in fairly mild conditions. coming into the Bay from the north. Even with my many years of experience in the area, I underestimated the Potato Patch Shoal. No damage, but it sure made my teeth ache.
Isn't there a cruising guide available these days to help prevent folks like roverhi from making this mistake?
