I use it aboard, especially to clean up grease or oil. I understand, however, if left to stand for extended periods, it will corrode some metals. Aluminum in particular. You are cautioned not to use it on aircraft, with aluminum structures, and not to leave it on any aluminum for more than 10 minutes, without thoroughly rinsing. Simple Green even developed a special formula for aircraft, as a result. The Air Force banned the original formula.

As long as you rinse well or keep it off aluminum, it's good stuff.
