Even with a seller's broker and a buying broker, I bought this boat for a bit less than 2/3 of asking.
I don't go into a business deal, and that is all buying a boat is until she is yours, with any emotional attachment or care for the owner's emotions about his boat. If you let your emotions cloud the deal, you'll pay a lot more.
Offer no more than you are comfortable paying and move on to the many other boats out there for sale if the owner balks.
