I believeI did this project and it was not terribly difficult. The hose is stiff of course. You need to remove all ties if there are any, get it off what it's connected to a both ends and pull it. Of course it depends on how your hose is run. You could also use a halyard on a winch to pull it. You can cut it into pieces... but it's wire reinforced so it will take a hack saw or robust wire cutters.

Inserting the new hose should be a bit easier. But making the connections at the thru hull can be awkward to reach to saw the least.
