As i said it "sounds like"..... My impression only.

If you have a current cruising license (not "permit") there is techically no need to check out although each CBP seems to make up his own rules and is the ultimate authority regardless of what the law says.

The hysterical laughter you hear as you drive a way in your"new" boat ..... is the seller.
