Heading out.

So tomorrow we're setting off.

The plan is to get to Mackinac - perhaps Lake Superior.

Here's one of the many truckloads of crap that have been loaded onto the boat in preparation. One more load and that's it!

Tomorrow we get all of the perishables.

Fuel tank; fresh water: full and full. Black-water tank: empty. Dry goods; cleaning supplies; clothes; scuba gear; fishing tackle; check! Safety equipment: flares; PFD's (fresh cartridges & triggers); first-aid kit topped up; affirmative! Toiletries; cookware; linens; done and done. Charts: got 'em all - paper and uploaded to plotter with waypoints. Maintenance done. And most importantly: bar's stocked - 4 varieties of beer; cider; coolers; scotch (Glenfiddich); rum (Pusser's); vodka (Stoli); wine (red & white); Canadian Whisky (40 Creek).

I know I'm missing something.

Sea Dragon: Out.

Visualize the vastness of the oceans; the infinity of the heavens; the fickleness of the wind; the artistry of the craft and the frailty of the sailor. The oneness that may be achieved through the harmony of these things may lead one to enlightenment. - Flying Welshman
