It was meant to be a movie... so yeah... there will be movie platforms in the water, booms, lights, directors in directors chairs, gaffers, everything done on a movie set but in the water... did you expect the movie to be made half way in the Atlantic or Pacific oceans?

For entertainment purposes... I thought is was ok for a 'sailing' movie.. more sailing of this particular boat by Redford would have been right up everyone's alley but it was meant for the dangers/horror of losing ones boat in the emptiness of the vast ocean and nothing more.
