WADR, nonsense. I have an "ancient" Freedom 15 that I installed in 1998. There is no way in hell I'd tie it into the 1-2-B switch. That is NOT what the instructions say to do. You need BIG 2/0 cables from the I/C to the house bank. Period. Nowhere near the switch. You are very lucky you haven't had problems. Big problems.

You don't need an upgrade, you simply need to wire it properly.

The manuals are still available on Xantrex's website under discontinued products.

I installed a Yandina combiner, too.
