I did not mean for the story to be depressing. It is a story about life. Somtimes life is good, somtimes bad, but it is the life. This man was not depressed about what happened. It is just another perspective on boating. Some of us spend a lot of time and money on our boats so we can go out and recreate on them. This man used a boat as a way to save his and his families life, as well as a transport means to freedom.
