Goodsell Point Marina in Branford is a very barebones, do-it-yourself place. No clubhouse, no on-site services (except launch/mast set up/takedown/haul/storage). Everyone there seems to do all of their own maintenance. And they don't mind if you have contractors come to your boat. And its close to the Sound: only about a five minute motor down river to the harbor. If last year is any indication, there is plenty of room. On my dock (water, no power), there were lots of slips available. I think the slip fees are about $70/foot for the season.
thanks Mstern. Ideally, it would be a nicer for me to be a little closer towards New London. But for my first few years of sailing, I'm willing to make sacrafices.
