Re: $6,600 to rebuild Atomic 4? replace/rebuild

Here is my new Atomic 4, purchased this week from Moyer Marit (Moyer Marine Atomic 4 Engine Rebuilding and Parts)

It will be installed in my 1973 Catalina 27 as soon as the weather breaks, here in Maryland.

Exchange Engine, complete $6075.00, less $700 refund for core engine.

Well, now you can run another 50 years on the new engine if you take good care of it.

All the best,

Gary

Re: $6,600 to rebuild Atomic 4? replace/rebuild

Well at 68 I have no aspirations of sailing for another 50 years...
I just paid my engine maintenance forward. INNUENDO is a good old boat, and I have spent the past year refurbishing her.
'Looking to get lots of stressless cruising on her, for the forseeable future.
She will be a good boat for my son, later.

Fair winds!

Re: $6,600 to rebuild Atomic 4? replace/rebuild

Ben, I was thinking the same thing when I purchased Saturday's Child, my Morgan 33 Out Island. When I approached my son and daughter about them taking the boat when I take the dirt nap, they said they didn't want it. My son owns a 25 foot powerboat and my daughter is physically handicapped and cannot handle the boat by herself. My son said he will sell the boat when I pass away and give the money to my wife.

At 76 with bad lungs and a busted up back, I'm not sure how many years of sailing I have remaining, but I intend to push it as long as I can physically do so.

My boat is powered with a Moyer rebuild that was refurbished in 2001 and it still runs great.

Good luck,

Gary
