Thoughts on going from sailboat to motorboat?

We've been sailors most of our boating lives, though we had a 19' Aquasport that we just couldn't kill and finally had to give away to have an excuse to buy our first sailboat.
Now we're looking at getting another power boat. We're considering a Panga because we want to be able to trailer it to various parts of Florida:
(I've marked the places we are planning to trailer the boat in red)

Any feedback on the Pangas? We're used to sailboats that cut through the water. Any other suggestions?
Thanks!

Lol... still keeping a sailboat, just going to add to the stock of toys. I figure sailors know what sailors are used to and expect in a boat. It's tough talking to a motorboater and expect them to have any idea how a sailor looks at boats.

What the heck is a Panga?

note: This is a rhetorical question.

Re: Thoughts on going from sailboat to motorboat?

Giving the number of sailboats that I see motoring in perfect sailing conditions I would say that many don't have motorboats instead of sailboats because they are more expensive. The number of motorboats (even cruising ones) is increasing all the time and I am anchored near a very nice cat that has no mast even if it seems very close (in shape) to the ones that have one.

Cruising is not the issue, it can be made on a motorboat or on a sailingboat, it is up to you to decide what you want: Motoring or sailing, kind of two different lifestyles so in the end your question does not make sense since only you will know what you want and what you will prefer.

I use the sail boat. but would not use it very much if I had to go to the fuel dock an buy hundreds of gallons of fuel. sure they may go faster but why do you need to get there fast if it is time on the water that counts the most. and what do you do on a power boat during a long trip. you sit there and watch the auto pilot and when you are tired of that you sit there and watch some more. sail is sport with physical exercise, power boating couch potato, vegetable exercise .
Did a cruise with a friends power boat, never over 10 knots and pulled up to fuel dock at the end of the week and it was $750. did the same trip in the same size sailboat in which we did a lot of motoring because of lack of wind and the fuel bill was $62

overboard nailed it. Powerboats are not fast. Not close. I can ride a bicycle faster than 99% of powerboats. They are just simple.
