Thumbs up Champion 21 ,Amazing boat

I purchased a 1961 21' sailboat, and with the help of my new friends at "Small Craft Advisor", and their mystery boat section, found out that it is a Champion 21, built by Hank McCune. It looks almost identical to his "All-American 28", including the cabin top that looks like it was cut off of an old studebaker. I can find some info on the All-American, which he only built 10 of, but nothing on line about the Champion. This is an amazing little boat , and built like iron. I am totally rebuilding from the hull up, and have posted photos of the rebuilding process at: rebuilding sailboat - home if anyone is interested. Also, if ANYONE has had any experience with this boat. PLEASE contact me.....would love to talk or learn anything more I can about this amazing little cruiser.

Very cool. Keep us up to date. Looks like something from the Jetsons cartoon.

While I wasn't able to find a wiki entry for McCune using that link, googling "Hank McCune" led to his sailboatdata page, showing several lines of boats he is credited with building including the Champion 21. Apparently Hank had his own TV show in the 1950's, and then left show biz to build and sell sailboats.

Here's the link:
