Congratulations, Rick. And, when your wife begins calling you Captain Rick, I will too!

All the best,

Weekend forecast doesn't look promising (and today is downright miserable). Maybe a little maintenance/organizing work is in order.

Pffft... WRSC Shorthand race is tomorrow. It's a great time to test your solo heavy weather skills.

- Operating under reduced sail
- Tether and jackline setup
- AIS/VHF

There'll be the "meat and potatoes" of the upwind leg followed by a nice downwind leg, then a turn into the West River finish line followed by food and drink at the club.

Must be seeing something different . I think a good wind weekend which all will be pining for in mid July

Today , miserable,

Tomorrow showers but not a steady rain most of the time just overcast with the front coming through mid afternoon with the appropriate wind shift from SW to W. Good wind. Certainly not a reason not to sail 40% chance of rain

Sunday - good wind , W, brisk temps. Perfect sailing day to go N/S on theBay

Looking to anchor in protected spot Sat night, probably Broad Creek , Magothy. It's protected by the big hill from W/ NW gusts

Don't be scared off by a little rain. Imagine if we were in the Pacific NW or Maine where rain is a piece of the sailing culture.
