2017 Sailing Season on the Chesapeake

New thread for the new year. Can one of the mods please make it a sticky

Happy New Year to all our friends who ply the Chessi.e. And have a great sailing year.
Now who's the first one out?

I'm not scheduled to splash until mid April, so I definitely will not be the first person sailing in 2017.

Happy New Year, everyone,

Gary

We stay in the water year round, so it just depends on the weather. Hoping for a mild march!

Hey, you're two days early!

I plan on sailing on NYD.

Won't be out until April, but hope to get to know my boat between now and then.
See you all in the New Year.

I was thinking it was too early too.

But it's here regardless.

Good day working on the boat today. Got some things cleaned up and a major step towards one project and planning other projects... the continuing cycle of things.

Wind picked up today and out of nowhere, it started dropping down some snow flurries.

Alright!

New year, new season.

Refit continues, but still hopeful I can get the boat ready some time this year.

Happy sailing everyone!

Sea Dragon made it ashore last Wednesday and yesterday I pulled everything off her for the winter. Now it is time to begin winter/spring launch projects which are mostly cosmetic - except for that pesky injector project.

The first on my cosmetic list to remove a 1,000 NM Chesapeake "Smile".

Garner, Happy New Year to you and the best way I found to get rid of the smile is using LA Totally Awesome Cleaner, which can be found at Dollar Store for $1.

Stay Warm,

Gary

FSR is great for that. I have the same issue after 3 years in the water
Rub it on....wash it off....stain is gone
