Sunk sailboat near Sharps Island

Anyone know the story about this..? Location is in the vicinity of the main Channel bouy 80

Is that Sharp's Island light in the background? It looks white in the photo but is mostly rust and a few missing panels.

Sharps Island light house..note the lean..not the poor color exposure when one inlarges the low Rez digital picture..

Not much to hit around there, especially close to the channel. Maybe good luck or skill at least got the boat to shallow water. Hope the only damage is to the boat and a salvage crew can refloat it quickly.

Yes, I'd definitely like to hear the story here. Based on the location, it seems highly unlikely they could have hit any charted hazard.

Did they find some Conowingo "Treasure" large enough to hole the boat, or maybe rip out the prop shaft? Was there a keel separation from striking something?

If it was just a through-hull failure, you'd think they could get it under control well enough to get somewhere to get hauled out.
