Challanger 24 mast and boom

I need to get a mast and boom for my 1965 challenger 24 it should be the same as any 24 and I think the Columbia 26's used it also. it is a 30 ft mast. so any help would be appreciated. feel free to give ma a call 816 then 694 then 2595. so if you have a old mast and boom laying around I would love to get my boat back in the water! Thanks for your time on this!

Re: Challanger 24 mast and boom

There are a variety of mast section shapes and sizes, so if your mast is deck stepped you may need to look for a specific section for a good fit. Things can be modified, of course, but the easiest would be to find a match.

Used masts can be found, and perhaps the mast and boom needn't come from the same source - gooseneck fittings can be fabricated too.

I'd start with the local riggers, and ads in Craigslists and the like, esp in hurricane prone areas where boats may have been holed and parted out. You'll probably need to start anew with the standing rigging unless you get lucky enough to find a specific rig for your boat. And even then, starting with new will be good peace of mind.

"Craigslist sailing"? So what if it's 50 years old. Why not help the fellow out by answering his question.

To the OP: You might try contacting Dwyer mast. They have quite an assortment of spars.

It's not for you, to tell me what to say and you might check the date,. I think he found his Mast and Boom by now,. You want to do personal shopping service for people? If they can find their way here and make a post asking what they're looking for they can certainly do their own shopping
