Re: St. Brendan's Isle mail service

Well it depends on how much mail you get. I get hardly any real mail, but am considering SBI for an address to get FL residency.

Don't blow air up my rear, be useful and blow it at the sails!

I can't see it for short periods. Nothing wrong with the service. To keep changing your mail address is a hassle.

Re: St. Brendan's Isle mail service

For a short period why not have your mail forwarded to a friend or relative.

I did this for a friend who was out of the country for almost a year, he also left his checkbook and deposit slips if needed.

With his permission I opened his mail, scanned and emailed anything I thought was important including bank statements, this was before online bank statements and online bill paying was common.

We use SBI, but if by 'short periods' you want to turn it off and on... well I don't know that any mail handlers would be appropriate because you have to change your address each time...

As others have mentioned, have someone pull your mail from where it lands now and deal with it for you.

Behan on Totem wrote a recent article on this topic that may be worthwhile for you.

Best wishes figuring out what is best for you.

Cheers!

Bill

Re: St. Brendan's Isle mail service

For "short periods" the usps will put a hold on your mail.

We do everything possible on line, only get 2 or 4 pieces of mail per year that are important.
