Nice, thanks for that.

I'm just getting through a difficult week; the "Storms Pass" section was particularly timely for me.

Re: Lessons from Life - Lin Pardy

I do find I spend a lot of time just staring when I'm on the boat. I don't have a TV on board so my entertainment is just watching things and conditions around the boat, harbor and anchorage. I never get board doing it. As Lin pointed out it can be very conducive to coming up with solutions to various problems and projects.

Re: Lessons from Life - Lin Pardy

Thanks for posting this. Lin and Larry have certainly shone a light for me (and my partner) as we’ve ventured off the beaten path. Going slowly, enjoying where we are, and rarely having firm plans, has served us well as guiding principles.

All things pass, including us. Enjoy the moments. That’s all there really is.

I think they sold their boat a few years ago. It was listed for 175,000NZD.

It was sad to see Larry's condition decline and to see them sell the boat. It went to a young couple that were very enthusiastic about wooden boats. Good to see both parties appear to be happy and L&L have no regrets. Wish I could live a fraction of the life they did.

It has to be difficult for them for health care as Kawau is only accessible by ferry or water taxi. I wish them well.

Agree. I can heartily recommend reading BULL CANYON Lin Pardy's account of them building their last sailboat 60 miles from the coast. A really great read from two who really lived the dream and totally complemented each other.
