Garmin GPSMAP 86i and inreach

Good day all. I have a Garmin InReach. I've used it a lot on my power boat 17ft in the Florida Keys and once in a Lagoon 440 crossing from US to Bahamas for 7 days. It was really convenient for messaging and tracking. However, the InReach is not a really good mapping device for boats. Gamin now has a GPSMAP 86sci, Marine Handheld With BlueChart® g3 Coastal Charts and inReach® Capabilities and the 86i with worldwide base map. I'm thinking this would be handy for several reasons, tracking, texting, and navigation while in a dingy out of site of your main boat cruising a new area. And it floats.

The GPSMAP 86i (Not 86sci) says, "GPSMAP 86i comes preloaded with a worldwide base map. It also allows you to add BlueChart g3 coastal charts, giving you industry-leading coverage, clarity and detail with integrated Garmin and Navionics® data."

However, I'm finding it difficult to see sample maps on what detail you would have.
I "think" the G3 coastal charts are only US. This would not meet my needs. Per Garmin website, "Preloaded BlueChart g3 coastal charts include the best of Garmin and Navionics® data"

I cannot find a review of the other option which is "World Wide Base Map". I don't need depth or contours, just base maps to find my way back to my boat or favorite fishing spot in and OUT of the US. I have a feeling that the base map is for land use and not marine.
Anyone have info on the maps G3 and World Wide Base? Youtube has turn up nada of screen shots.
