Re: Still Winter ?

And I was thinking it was still getting rather chilly at night here on Long Island.

Re: Still Winter ?

We just left the Sound 3 days ago after spending 2 weeks there. Having ha sweatshirt on and great 50 sleeping weather at night was a treat. Never ran our Caframo fans except the one blowing air out the companionway to discourage insects / flys from going in the cabin. Same thing restaurants do at their back/ delivery doors.

We are already in T shirts and shorts heading into the Chesapeake today.

Another couple who are friends of ours who wanted to tag with us on vacation but refused to do any leg over 40 miles decided to do the Southern Chessie and Norfolk. Temps last week there in the southern Chessie were high 80s low 90 s all week.

Enjoy that cool air on the LI Sound

Re: Still Winter ?

Interesting boat. I guess the owner of that boat doesn't invite guests over for a beverage, conversation, and lounging around in either of those cockpits.

Re: Still Winter ?

Just heading to Newfoundland to begin thinking about launching for this season. Sure still feels like winter up here.

Why go fast, when you can go slow.

Of course you know I jest . About Winter that is . Subject boat is the mighty Stavanger , a 1890's Colin Archer designed rescue boat .
To be invited aboard a RS boat for a hot tottie men't you were rescued and your boat was being towed home .
