Replacement Sheave for CS27

I have owned the CS27 for 2 years (boat was built in 1987) . All the halyard sheaves squeal, I do not think there is anything majorly wrong with the sheaves, they just make a racket. Is it possible to replace the sheaves with sheaves made from a composite material to eliminate the squealing?

Re: Replacement Sheave for CS27

Thanks -- I will try the Harken MCLube for this year. If the squeal does not get better I will try a replacement sheave next year. Replacement sheaves from Zephywerks are expensive

Last year of production for CS27 was 1983. Some dry lube onthe sheaves should fix the problem.
