4-107 Temperature Gauge

Mine failed. Experience and the books say that when the engine runs cool, (110) it is almost always the thermostat stuck open. A lengthy and difficult job proved otherwise. The old thermostat responded to heating, and with the new one in, it the gauge didn't respond at all. Searches reveal complete panels for $500. My gauge and sensor are not electric. Only one thick wire runs from the engine to the gauge, no other wires at all. I think it it a remote thermometer. Anyone replaced one?

Re: 4-107 Temperature Gauge

Does sound like a remote reading thermometer. If you can't find a replacement, you could replace it with an electrical sender and gauge package (less than $100).
